Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Ring, marking its entry into the wearable health-tracking market. Announced during Samsung Galaxy Unpacked, the Galaxy Ring is a compact, finger-worn device designed to integrate seamlessly with Samsung’s health-tracking ecosystem.

The Galaxy Ring is equipped with an accelerometer, PPG heart rate sensor, and skin temperature sensor. These sensors collect data to monitor sleep, movement, heart and respiratory rates, and even menstrual cycles. The device provides a comprehensive Energy Score to evaluate daily well-being and suggests lifestyle adjustments.

  • Heart Rate Alerts: Notifies users of irregular heart rates.
  • Automatic Workout Detection: Tracks physical activities automatically.
  • Remote Shutter: Functions as a remote shutter for Galaxy smartphones.

Design and Build

Constructed from titanium, the Galaxy Ring is available in Titanium Black, Silver, and Gold. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters (IP68 rating) and weighs between 2.3 and 3 grams, depending on the size. The battery life lasts up to seven days on a single charge.

Pricing and Availability

Priced at $400, the Galaxy Ring is available for pre-order starting July 10, with general availability beginning on July 24.
